Asbestos Surveys Stockbridge

Core Asbestos Services is a provider of an asbestos management service. To meet your specific needs, we offer a wide range of asbestos surveys.

Asbestos Management

A survey of asbestos will give you accurate information about the amount and location of the material, as well as the state of the asbestos-containing materials. The survey does not end with managing asbestos.

How do you define the "duty to manage" asbestos?

It is important for dutyholders to know if their buildings contain asbestos and whereabouts. They should then ensure proper management.

The risks of asbestos exposure to workers and other employees must be assessed and managed by them. It is also their responsibility to ensure that all persons who are likely to be exposed to asbestos, whether they work with it or not, have information on its condition and location.

Core Asbestos Services can conduct a range of asbestos surveys to determine if there is asbestos in your buildings. After the survey, we will provide you with professional recommendations on any asbestos-containing materials that were identified and assist in the creation and implementation of an asbestos management plan.

Our basic asbestos services start from just £65.00 + VAT for lab testing of suspect materials and basic callouts start from just £125.00 + VAT.

In many cases, we can deliver asbestos survey reports same day of visit or within 48hrs (if lab sampling is required). ALL Lab testing is UKAS accredited.

We also do specific asbestos removals, including removal and demolition of garages and barns in Scotland. Vinyl floorings, artex coatings, and cement boards can be removed.

We offer very competitive quotes. If you would like to book one of our services, or if you're after advice about what we can offer your business, call us on 0131 510 4765 or find out more about us.

Stockbridge, north of Edinburgh's city center, is bordered by New Town and Comely Bank. Scots stock brig is an Anglic word meaning a timber bridge. It was originally a tiny outlying community. In the 19th century, the City of Edinburgh incorporated it. Built in 1801, the current Stock Bridge is a concrete structure that spans the Water of Leith. Henry Raeburn, a painter, owned Deanhaugh Estate and St Bernard's. These were developed by James Milne, an architect. Milne also designed the beautiful St Bernard's Church in Saxe Coburg Street (1823). Raeburn designed Ann Street and named it after his wife. It is an early example of New Town streets with a private garden.
